Who should switch, and who should not
Wirex is an established crypto card with its own app and token. Fundly is newer, wallet-first, and adds an IBAN and an Instant tier.
As of September 2026. Wirex changes its products and pricing from time to time, so check their current pricing page before deciding.
What Wirex does well
Wirex has been around for years, supports many assets inside its own app, and has a loyalty programme tied to its token. If you already hold a balance there and like the rewards, it works.
Where Fundly is different
Wallet first. Fundly does not ask you to buy or hold crypto inside Fundly. You send USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, BTC and more from any wallet on 10+ chains. Deposits are converted to EUR or USD at a rate shown before you send.
An Instant tier. Sign up with email and phone and get a virtual card in minutes, with monthly limits set by our issuing partner. Verify when you want higher limits, a physical card or the IBAN.
An EUR IBAN account. After verification you get your own IBAN with SEPA and SEPA Instant. Salary in, rent out, all from the balance the card uses. Whether Wirex offers account details in your country is something to check on their site.
No token. There is nothing to hold or stake for better rates. Free is 0 EUR a month with 1% deposit fee (min 1 EUR) and 1.5% FX. Plus is 7.99 EUR with 0.5% and 0.5%. Premium is 19.99 EUR with 0% and 0% FX. Cashback is a capped launch offer: 0.5% for 90 days on Free, 1% in USDC on Plus, 1.5% in USDC on Premium.
Fees in front of you. The rate and fee appear before every deposit and every card payment. No hidden spread.
Who should switch
- You self-custody and are tired of moving funds into an app before you can spend.
- You get paid in stablecoins and need an IBAN for EUR bills.
- You live somewhere the big providers do not serve well.
- You want a low-limit card today and full features later, on your own schedule.
Who should stay
- You are happy with token-based rewards and the assets you hold in-app.
- You need a feature Fundly does not offer yet, such as GBP account details or in-app trading. Fundly is not an exchange and not a bank.
Moving over
Withdraw from Wirex to your Fundly deposit address on a supported chain, or send a SEPA transfer to your Fundly IBAN after verification. See deposits and cards for the detail.
