Accounts and IBAN

Opening your IBAN account

How to open a EUR IBAN account in Fundly after identity verification, what you get, and what to expect on the first day.

Once your identity is verified, you can open a EUR IBAN account inside Fundly. The account is provided by [PARTNER], a licensed payment institution, and it works like any other European account: you can receive money, send money, and use it as the funding source for your Fundly card.

Note
Fundly is not a bank. Your IBAN account is provided by [PARTNER] under its licence. Fundly is the web app you use to manage it.

Who can open an account

At launch, the EUR IBAN account is available to Verified users only. Instant card holders can use the card with monthly limits set by our partner and regulators, but they do not get an IBAN. To step up, see Upgrading from Instant to Verified.

You also need to be a resident of a supported country. Check Supported countries before you start.

GBP and USD account details are on our roadmap and depend on partner support. We will not list them here until they are live.

How to open your account

  1. Sign in to the Fundly web app at app.fundly.xyz and go to Account.
  2. Tap Open EUR account. If you are still on the Instant card, the app will guide you through verification first.
  3. Review and accept the [PARTNER] account terms. These are separate from the Fundly terms, so read them.
  4. Confirm your residential address. This must match your proof of address if we asked for one.
  5. Wait for the account to be created. For most people this takes under a minute. Some accounts go through a manual check and can take up to 2 business days.

When the account is ready, your IBAN and the account holder name appear under Account and in the Receive screen.

Your account currency and deposits

Your Fundly account currency is chosen at sign-up: EUR or USD. If you chose EUR, crypto deposits are converted to EUR and land in the same balance your IBAN uses. If you chose USD, your IBAN balance is a separate EUR balance, and you can move money between the two at the published rate.

Tip
If you plan to receive salary or client payments in euros, choose EUR as your account currency. It avoids conversions on the way in.

Sharing your IBAN

Your IBAN is safe to share with an employer, a client or a platform that pays you. Only the IBAN and your name are needed. Nobody can take money out of your account with the IBAN alone.

To share it, open Receive, then Account details, and select Copy or Share as PDF. The PDF includes the IBAN, BIC, account holder name and the address of [PARTNER].

What happens next
