Getting started

Supported countries

How Fundly decides where it is available, what the country check does, and where physical cards can be shipped.

How availability works

Fundly is available in a growing list of countries. The list is set by three things:

  • The licences held by our partners. Cards are issued by [PARTNER] and the EUR IBAN account is provided by [PARTNER]. Each partner can only serve residents of the countries its licence covers.
  • Local rules. Some countries restrict crypto products, card products or both.
  • Sanctions and risk. We do not serve residents of sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions, and we screen every sign-up against sanctions lists.

Because of this, the country list changes over time, and it can differ between the Instant card, the Verified level and the IBAN account.

Note
The current list is shown in the Fundly web app at app.fundly.xyz during sign-up and on the Fundly website. These docs deliberately do not reproduce it, so that you always see the live version.

The country check at sign-up

When you sign up, you choose your country of residence. We then run a country check, which does three things:

  1. Confirms that Fundly and its partners can serve residents of that country.
  2. Runs sanctions and politically exposed person screening against your details.
  3. Decides which features you can use, for example whether an Instant card is available or whether you must verify first.

The check uses your declared country, your phone number's country code and basic device signals. If they do not match, you may be asked to verify your identity before continuing. Instant cards have monthly limits set by our partner and regulators, and in some countries the Instant level is not offered at all.

Warning
Do not use a VPN or a foreign phone number to sign up from a country that is not supported. This breaches the terms and usually results in the account being closed and funds returned by a slower route.

Country-by-country differences

Within supported countries, a few things vary:

FeatureVaries by country?What decides it
Instant cardYes[PARTNER] simplified due diligence rules
Verified accountYes[PARTNER] licence coverage
EUR IBAN accountYes[PARTNER] IBAN provider coverage, mostly EEA plus selected others
Physical card shippingYesShipping to 100+ countries at launch

Physical card shipping

At launch, physical cards ship to 100+ countries. Delivery is typically 5 to 10 business days inside the EU and up to 3 weeks elsewhere. Shipping is available only to Verified users, and the delivery address must be in a supported shipping country. See Physical cards.

Moving country

If you move to another country, update your residence in the app under Profile. You may be asked to provide a new proof of address. If your new country is not supported, we will tell you how long you have to withdraw your balance.

Not available in your country yet?

Join the waitlist from the website. Referrals from the waitlist move you up the queue, and we email when your country goes live. See What is Fundly for the overall picture.

Fundly is a financial technology company, not a bank. Limits and fees described as “at launch” are proposals and may change.
