Deposit on Polygon

How to deposit POL, USDT, USDC and DAI on Polygon PoS, with confirmations, fees and common mistakes.

Polygon PoS is an EVM-compatible network with about 2 second blocks and very low fees. It is widely offered by exchanges and is a common route for USDT and USDC.

Assets you can deposit

At launch Fundly accepts POL, USDT, USDC and DAI on Polygon PoS. POL is the native token, renamed from MATIC in September 2024. For USDC, only native USDC is accepted. The bridged USDC.e is a different token and is not credited.

How to deposit

  1. Sign in to the Fundly web app at app.fundly.xyz and choose Deposit.
  2. Choose Polygon as the chain and pick the asset.
  3. Copy your address or scan the QR code. It is a 0x address with 40 hexadecimal characters.
  4. In your wallet or exchange, choose the Polygon network. Exchanges may still label it "MATIC" or "Polygon PoS".
  5. Paste the address, enter the amount and send.
  6. Wait for 64 confirmations, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Note
Instant card users can deposit on Polygon, but Instant cards have monthly load limits set by our partner and regulators.

Confirmations and timing

AssetMinimum at launchCredited afterTypical time
POL10 EUR equivalent64 confirmationsabout 2 to 3 minutes
USDT, USDC, DAI10 EUR equivalent64 confirmationsabout 2 to 3 minutes

Polygon blocks arrive about every 2 seconds. Fundly waits for 64 confirmations at launch as a conservative margin.

Fees

Network fees are paid in POL by the sender and are usually less than a cent. You need a small amount of POL in your wallet to send tokens. Fundly's deposit fee at launch depends on your plan: Free 1% (minimum 1 EUR), Plus 0.5%, Premium 0%. The conversion rate and fee are shown in the app before every deposit.

Common mistakes

Warning
Polygon uses the same 0x address format as Ethereum and other EVM chains. Choosing the wrong network at an exchange sends the funds to that chain at the same address.
  • Sending USDC.e instead of native USDC. Check the token contract in your wallet. Support may be able to recover for a fee.
  • Choosing Polygon zkEVM instead of Polygon PoS. zkEVM is a separate network and is not supported.
  • Sending "MATIC" from an old exchange listing. This is fine, it is the same network. POL is simply the new name of the native token.
  • Sending less than the 10 EUR minimum.

Fundly is a financial technology company, not a bank. Limits and fees described as “at launch” are proposals and may change.
